Waconda Lake & Glen Elder State Park
Glen Elder is the home of Waconda Lake. A stone's throw to the west from the community's backdoor, Waconda Lake, Glen Elder Dam, and the State Park & Wildlife Area comprise one of Kansas' most scenic and popular outdoor attractions. Located in north central Kansas in the heart of the Solomon River Valley, Waconda Lake is located within close visual range of U.S. Highway 24. It is 12 miles west of Beloit, Kansas, and just east of Cawker City, Kansas.
