Though many in town today don't recall passenger trains or freight trains, other than those hauling grain nowadays, their stopping at the Glen Elder Depot were once a common and anticipated occurrence. In the photos below, some might recognize the old elevator (torn down in the winter of 2001) the limestone bluffs (now mostly hidden by river-trees), and the old mill dam, gone but recognized from other photos.
