From an e-mail 06-10-05>   Dear Greg...My given name was Exa which is Texas with the T and S taken off.  It is a family name because two of my cousins on my father's side of the family were killed at the Alamo.  My Mother had her PhD in Psychology and was studying children's behavioral patterns, but when I came alone, I didn't fit anything she had ever studied.  Consequently, she decided that if the Texans could take the T and S of of Texas and insist that I be given that name that runs in their family, she could take the E and the A off of Exa.  That left her with X ....the unknown quantity, added to my last name which was Means before I was married.  The Capital X is the Means of a distribution in Psychology terms.  Hated the name until I got older, but everyone in Glen called me Exalou or Xcie or Cricket, or anything else they could think of because they didn't think that X was enough of a name.  My Mother's name was Louise so they tacked that on to Exa but my name is not Lou.  No one living in Glen today will remember me anyway!    Thanks again.    x
