Sponsors of the annual
Glen Elder Fun Day
FUN RUN...

The Glen Elder Lions Club was chartered on April 12, 1988, with 56 charter members. The Hunter, Kansas. Lions club was the sponsor.  The club belongs to all state and national Lions organizations. As members we endeavor to help when needed in any community project.

Annual Lions' highlights include our annual STUDENT APPRECIATION day, held the last week in August. The evening event recognizes and honors all local sports teams, dance teams and cheerleading teams. The entire community invited. Cost of the meal is by donation only. A large crowd always attends with 400-500 hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, and chips served!

The Lions' annual PANCAKE DAY, held in March is another successful fund raiser. The football homecoming game finds the Lions involved with their CANDY NIGHT, with proceeds going to the National Lions' sight Fund. To help the community get in the Christmas spirit our club gives and delivers flowers to the Glen Elder citizens who are shut-ins and those that reside in area rest-homes.  And, each May we host the popular annual Lions club WOMEN'S NIGHT.

The Lions members enjoy a good time in all their projects and while experiencing the satisfaction of helping the community. If you are not a member, perhaps you should be. We welcome you to join us.
