Hello All!

The Community Club, comprised of any community business or community member, has been an active and successful organization for many years.  If you are not a member, I encourage you to join.  I would especially like to invite younger adults, like myself, to get involved.  Your new and exciting ideas are needed at our meetings and in our community.

The purpose of the Glen Elder Community Club is to support our town and residents in all that they do!  For example, we are very proud to fund the Glen Elder Community Club Scholarship.  This fund was originally established in 1999 through the efforts of our community’s special history book committee and the consequent sale of the Glen Elder Family History book.  Memorial donations were also received in honor of Charlie Parker, Gail Weidenhaft and, most recently, Lyle McPeak, all long-time residents who were very respected in the community.  Various other local contributors also support the Scholarship.

Sincerely,  Megan Duskie         E-Mail: megan_duskie@yahoo.com

For more information regarding the scholarship fund, contributions  or any Glen Elder Community Club activity, please contact Megan Duskie.

Fun Day was discussed, it was decided to move the Fun Day date to July 19, 2008. Denise Jackson motioned and Amanda Paxson seconded. All agreed to move the meeting to this date, due to the conflict with the Mitchell County Fair. This year at the Fun Day smoked pork will be served, instead of the pit pork. Mary Eberle made the motion and Linda Eberle seconded. All members agreed.

The next meeting will be April 21, 2008 at 5:15 pm at the Glen Haven Community room.

Mary Eberle

Secretary
